Will the Detox Tea make me go to the bathroom more?
Yes and this is completely intentional. Our Detox Tea contains natural herbal ingredients including Senna pod which has a well-known laxative effect and is commonly used in herbal cleansing products. Most customers experience increased bowel movements within 8 to 10 hours of their first cup.
In the first few days you may notice:
- More frequent trips to the bathroom
- Softer stools
- Mild stomach cramping or gurgling
- A lighter, less bloated feeling
This is your body adjusting as your digestive system becomes more regular and begins to flush out built-up waste. These effects typically settle after the first 3 to 5 days as your body adapts.
To minimise discomfort we recommend starting with a short steep of 2 to 3 minutes for your first few cups rather than the full recommended steep time, and drinking plenty of water throughout the day.
If you experience severe cramping, prolonged diarrhea, or any symptoms that concern you, stop using the tea and consult your doctor.
Can I use the Detox Tea if I am on medication?
If you are currently taking prescription medication we recommend speaking with your doctor or pharmacist before using our Detox Tea. Some herbal ingredients including Senna pod can affect how certain medications are absorbed by the body, particularly medications that need to be taken at consistent intervals.
Your healthcare provider is best placed to advise you on whether this product is appropriate alongside your current medication.
How do I reduce the strength of the laxative effect?
If you find the bowel effects too strong there are a few things you can do:
- Reduce your steep time — try 1 to 2 minutes instead of the recommended time
- Make sure you are drinking plenty of water as dehydration can make cramping worse
- Take a day off and restart at a shorter steep time
Everyone's body responds differently and finding the right steep time for you is completely normal. Start gentle and build up.
Is the Detox Tea safe if I have a pre-existing digestive condition?
If you have a pre-existing digestive or colorectal condition including but not limited to haemorrhoids, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Crohn's disease, colitis, diverticulitis, or any history of bowel surgery, we strongly recommend consulting your doctor or healthcare provider before using our Detox Tea.
Our Detox Tea contains Senna pod, a natural herbal laxative, which increases bowel activity. For most people this is a normal and welcome part of the detox process. How do I know if my order has been shipped?
Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays). During busy periods such as sales, promotions, launches, or peak seasons, processing times may be slightly longer.
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and tracking link so you can follow your parcel’s journey.
Please allow 24–48 hours for tracking updates to appear after receiving your tracking email.
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by factors outside our control, including carrier delays, customs processing, or high shipping volumes.

How long can I drink the tea for?
Our teas can be enjoyed as part of a regular wellness routine. Many customers start with the 14-day reset and then continue incorporating the teas into their daily ritual to support digestion and reduce occasional bloating.
As with many herbal blends, we recommend taking short breaks between cycles to allow your body to reset and to listen to how your body responds.
For best results, enjoy the teas alongside a balanced diet, regular movement, and staying well hydrated.
If you have any existing health conditions, or are planning to use the teas regularly for an extended period, we recommend consulting your healthcare professional.
After my order is submitted, can I make changes to it or cancel it?
Email us ASAP (like seriously) at support@notanotherdetoxtea.com and we will do everything we can to update this for you. Depending on our volume and time of year, we may not be able to make any changes.
If you contact us after the day you placed the order, we cannot guarantee the order can be changed or cancelled. This is partly due to the fact that most times we process orders during non business days/hours to ensure fast shipping.
As soon as you order, we will send you a confirmation email so please check your details carefully.
If your order has already been shipped then we can't make any changes to the address or change the course of the parcel. If this does happen, we won't be able to send you another parcel or make a refund.
If the order has not shipped and we can accommodate a cancellation, refunds can take up to 14 business days to process. We can only ship to the address entered in at checkout. If your address is incorrect, please email support@notanotherdetoxtea.com immediately.
What age can I use this product?
This is a product and program designed for adults. If you are under the age of 18 years we request parental permission to purchase our products.
Our teas contains ingredients, which can produce a laxative and appetite suppressant effect. This is not recommended as children under the age of 18's body is still developing and does not need to detox or appetite suppress as it could affect their growth during these years.
